What is Vellum Box?

Vellum Box is a monthly subscription box for bibliophiles. 

What's inside Vellum Box?

 Every box has a unique literary theme and includes a t-shirt with an exclusive bookish design created by super talented illustrators and  2 - 4 bookish treats.  You will not find these t-shirts anywhere else. 

What's the difference between Regular and  Plus options?

The only difference between them two is the price due to t-shirt sizing. Vellum Box Regular includes t-shirt sizes from XS to XL, and Vellum Box Plus includes sizes 2XL and 3XL. 

What style of t-shirts do you offer and where do I find my size?

 All t-shirts are fitted, crew neck and short sleeved. For a loose fitting we recommend you go up a size or select Men/Unisex style.   Please check our sizing guide page here for additional information. 


Subscriptions and Gifts

Can I try Vellum Box before committing to a recurring subscription?

Of course! Every month we make a limited amount of boxes available for single purchase. These are available at the Vellum Shop.

I missed a past Vellum Box, how can I get one?

If boxes were not sold out on a specific month, they will be available to purchase at the Vellum Shop. Please allow 7 business days for past boxes to be shipped. 

Is it possible to purchase the t-shirt only? 

Absolutely! If you're on a tight budget or you'd simply care about the t-shirt and not so much about the bookish items, this is the right option for you. T-shirts are available as a single purchase at the Vellum Shop and will also be available as a past t-shirt until the last day of the month after the boxes were shipped. T-shirts will be sent inside a Vellum branded mailer between the 7th and 10th day of the month along with the regular boxes or after 7 business days if the boxes were already shipped. 

When will I be billed?

New members will be billed immediately for the first subscription box. After that, billing takes place on the 13th day of the month.

Last day to sign up to receive the current month's box is last day of last month. Otherwise you will be charged intermediately but will not receive your box until the following month. Also, your subscription will not renew until the 13th day of the following month. For example , if you sign up  on March 31st, you will be charged that same day, you will receive April box and your subscription will renew April 13th to receive May box and so on. If you sign up on April 1st, you will be charged that same day but  you will receive  May box and your account will not be recharged until May 13th.

Do you ship to my country?

Yes! We ship worldwide.

What is the cost for shipping to my country?

Shipping costs are as follows:
USA: Varies depending on your state from $6.50 to $8.00 (Vellum Box) and $4 - $5 (T-shirt only orders)
Canada: $14.99
International: $22.99

When will my Vellum Box be shipped?

Vellum boxes ship between the 7th and 10th day of the month. Once your order ships, you will receive an email with your shipping notification and tracking number.

Which carrier do you use to ship your packages?

We ship all boxes via USPS. You can track your shipments by visiting https://www.usps.com/


Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

Refund/Return Policy

Once your account has renewed, we will not be able to issue a refund. Make sure you cancel your subscription or skip a specific box before the 13th day of the month to avoid being charged. 

We do not offer refunds if you receive a t-shirt or bookish item that you are not interested in. We hope you have a friend whom you can gift the item to! We announce on our social media and Newsletter upcoming themes and hints as to what to expect from each box so you can decide whether or not to skip a box.  

Please pay close attention to our sizing guide. We cannot accept returns if you order the wrong t-shirt size. If you need to change your t-shirt size please do so before the 1st day of the month to make sure you receive the corrected size. 

We can not accept returns, regardless of whether the box has been opened or not. 

Please note that once boxes are dropped at the post office we have no control over their transit and delivery status. If your boxed is delayed or marked as delivered but you have not received it, visit or call your local post office for detailed information. If your box is returned to Vellum box headquarters, you will be responsible for the cost of reshipment. 

If you receive a damaged item, please send us a photo of the damage to hello@vellumbox.com and we will be happy to ship you a replacement!
